I'm Joanna Ward, the creative director (and smile) behind Hedgy & Company. Founded in 2019, Hedgy maintains a laser-focus: helping artists, gallery owners and other creative professionals grow their art businesses without compromising studio time.
Hedgy adapts to the goals of every client. Whether it's ongoing social media growth, one-time event support or website design and long-term maintenance, we provide flexible packages that fit your needs, budget and time.
My story
Hedgy headquarters is in Wilmington, NC, where I raise three rambunctious boys with endless creativity. Born in Charleston, SC, I graduated from Duke University in 2006 with a Linguistics Degree. During my time at Duke, I worked for the Duke University Museum of Art, Nasher Museum of Art at Duke and Center for Documentary Studies. Upon moving to Wilmington, I spent the better part of five years working for the Cameron Art Museum in various capacities, including Deputy Director of Operations, Membership Manager and Volunteer Program Coordinator.
It is with this rich background in data management, analytics, critical thinking, organization and design, that Hedgy operates. I am honored to have partnered with more than 60 artists, art studios and galleries across three countries providing professional fine art marketing support and collateral materials.
